Split PDF
Pull specific pages out of a PDF into their own file.
Each range or single page becomes its own downloaded PDF.
Pages keep their original formatting — splitting only copies pages, it doesn't re-render them.
How the split pdf tool works
Using pdf-lib, this tool copies the pages you specify into new, separate PDF documents, preserving the original formatting exactly. Nothing is uploaded — the split happens in this browser tab.

How to split PDF files
Splitting a PDF lets you share only the pages that matter, such as one chapter of a report, a single invoice from a bundle, or the signed page of a contract. Enter the pages or ranges you want, and the tool copies them into a new PDF.
The pages are copied rather than re-rendered, so fonts, vector graphics and selectable text stay exactly as they were in the original. To put pieces back together, use Merge PDF, and if the result is still large, try Compress PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Can I split into more than one output file?
Yes — each comma-separated range becomes its own downloaded PDF.
Will formatting or fonts change?
No — pages are copied directly, not re-rendered.
What page numbers do I use?
Page 1 is the first page of the document — ranges are inclusive on both ends.
How do I extract a single page?
Enter just that page number, for example 5. A range such as 3-5 pulls pages 3, 4 and 5 into one file.
Can I join the pieces back together?
Yes. Use the Merge PDF tool to combine separate PDFs into one document.
