Favicon Generator
Generate a full set of favicon sizes from a single square logo image.
Generates 16×16, 32×32, 48×48, 180×180 (Apple touch), 192×192 and 512×512 (PWA) sizes, plus a ready-made site.webmanifest icons file.
Each size downloads as a separate PNG file — add them to your site's root or reference them in your HTML head.
How the favicon generator works
This tool resizes your source image to each standard favicon dimension using canvas scaling, giving you every size a modern site typically needs.
Drop a square logo
Non-square images will be center-cropped to a square first.

What a favicon generator produces
A favicon is the small icon that appears in browser tabs, bookmarks and search results. The favicon generator takes one square logo and resizes it to each of the standard favicon sizes, so you do not have to export them one by one. You download each size as a PNG file.
Start from a square image that is at least as large as the biggest size you need, with a simple design that stays readable at 16 by 16 pixels. If your logo is not square, crop it first with the Image Cropper, and use the Image Background Remover if you want a transparent background.
Frequently asked questions
What sizes do I actually need?
16×16 and 32×32 cover browser tabs, 48×48 is the size Google Search recommends for site icons in search results, 180×180 covers Apple touch icons, and 192×192 and 512×512 are the two sizes a web app manifest typically needs for PWA install icons.
Does it generate an .ico file?
No — it generates PNGs at each size, which every modern browser accepts directly.
What if my logo isn't square?
It will be center-cropped to a square before resizing, so a pre-cropped square logo gives the most predictable result.
Is my logo uploaded anywhere?
No. Your image is resized with your browser's canvas, so it never leaves your device.
How do I add the icons to my site?
Link the small PNGs (16×16 and 32×32) as icons in your page head, and use the 180×180 PNG as your Apple touch icon. Add the 192×192 and 512×512 PNGs to your web app manifest, or start from the site.webmanifest file this tool generates. Then upload the files to your site.
